The Transitional National Legislative Assembly has ordered all Members of Parliament using vehicles with National Legislative Assembly registration numbers to undergo mandatory re-registration.

The directive was issued by the Deputy Speaker for Administration and Finance, Abuk Payiti Ayiik, and broadcast on the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Wednesday.

All affected lawmakers have been instructed to report to the head driver’s office at the Assembly premises to complete the process.

The exercise began on June 12, 2026, and will run for two weeks. The administration stated that the re-registration will be carried out free of charge.

According to parliament, the exercise aims to improve administrative efficiency, accountability, and transparency in the management of official vehicles.

The assembly management urged all lawmakers to comply within the designated two-week period to ensure smooth operations within the institution.
