The Speaker of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA) of South Sudan, Joseph Ngere Paciko, is attending the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) engagement in Arusha, Tanzania.
Ngere arrived in Arusha on Thursday to attend regional parliamentary talks.
Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, the Speaker was received by Kim Gai Ruot and Kennedy Mukulia Ayssaon, South Sudanese representatives to the fifth East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), alongside officials from the EALA Speaker’s Office Protocol Department.
The Speaker is in Arusha to participate in the Extra-Ordinary Meeting of the East African Community (EAC) Speakers’ Bureau, scheduled for June 11–12, 2026, at the EAC Headquarters.
The high-level meeting brings together heads of legislative assemblies from EAC partner states to discuss strategies aimed at strengthening regional integration, parliamentary cooperation, and the advancement of the East African Community agenda.
