The government of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State has called for General Dau Aturjong to return home, and work for development.

General Aturjong, who comes from Northern Bhar Algazal, joined the SPLM – In Opposition last month, while in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

In an exclusive interview with Eye Radio in Juba, The Caretaker Governor of Northern Barh el Ghazal State, Kuel Aguer Kuel appealed for General Dau to return home.

“If he has any issues he can come and discuss them with the government instead of joining Riak Machar to take up arm against the country,” said Mr Kuel.

The former commander of the SPLA division 6 decided “to take up arms in order to liberate my people from Salva Kiir’s regime”.

On Friday, Governor Aguer discussed security in the state, with Members of Parliament who represent Northern Bahr El-Ghazal State in the National Parliament, and the Council of State.

The governor further said that they discussed relations between pastoralists living on the border with Sudan.
