Angelina Teny, the new Minister of Interior - PHOTO/DENIS EDEMA of Daily Monitor, Uganda

The former Minister of Defense, Angelina Teny has been appointed as the new Minister of Interior through a Republican Decree.

In a decree read on the South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation, President Kiir also relieved Deputy Interior Minister Peter Puok Koang and replaced him with Marial Gumke.

In March, Kiir fired Teny from the Ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs and Interior Minister Mahmoud Solomon.

The head of state gave the Ministry of Defense to SPLM In the Government and handed over the Interior Ministry to SPLM-IO.
