Councilors in Kajo-keji County, Central Equatoria, have agreed to form a committee within two weeks to demarcate their land.

Landlords from the five Payams took part in the meeting.

“According to the county press secretary, the purpose of forming this county committee is to solve the problems of land conflict among the people of Kajo Keji,” reported Kaja John, Eye Radio’s stringer there.

There have been cases of land conflicts in the area, with some claiming pieces of land ownerships.

“The second reason is to know the exact town areas of Kajo Keji County,” John added.

County Commissioner Kala Sabuni has been made chair of the land committee.
