The research group, SUDD Institute, is calling for the implementation of the petroleum Act 2012 to ensure protection of the environment and human lives.
They made the call yesterday during a public lecture to generate discussions among all stakeholders on the protection of the environment from oil production.
A policy Analyst with the SUDD Institute, Nhial Titmamer, said only few provisions of the act have been implemented.
