over thirty thousand families are in need of urgent food assistance in Gogrial West County of Warrap state, says an official.

County Commissioner Makuac Arou said children have been affected malnutrition in the area.

He said that five people have already died due to starvation.

“Many people are seeking for food assistance from those of World Food Program and any other organizations that are concerned like World Vision,” said Mr. Makuac.

“But still we have not gotten any response and there are a lot people faced with hunger crisis in the area.”

Commissioner Makuac said the county is faced with extreme hunger due to insufficient food production cause by floods.
