“Alongside the 12 ambulances, WHO will also hand over two vehicles – Toyota for use for Guinea Worm eradication program as well as onchocerciasis program,” Dr Manzilla said.

“And 288 bicycles also will be provided.”

Dr. Manzilla said one car, 64 bicycles and three motor cycles will be donated to Central Equatoria State.

The rest of the bicycles will be distributed to Eastern Equatoria, Northern Bahr El Ghazal, Western Bahr El Ghazal and Western Equatoria States.

The Under Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Makur Koriom, said these donations will reach the respective destinations.

“I want to assure them that these vehicles that you have donated today will go a long way in improving the health of the people of this country, especially the mothers and the children.”

Dr. Koriom urges the state Ministries of Health to use the vehicles and bicycles to benefit their communities.
