The Minister of Information, Michael Makuei Lueth, says the government has not received notification on the arrival of a delegation of the SPLM in Opposition.

Mr Makuei said according to the delegation was expected to arrive in Juba tomorrow to participate in a meeting of the Joint Military Command.

Makuei told Eye Radio that the meeting is supposed to start tomorrow here in Juba.

“They are supposed to start their meeting tomorrow here in Juba, but so far, up to this moment, we have not received any notification or any information about their coming,” Mr Makuei said.

The SPLM in Opposition said there was no plan for their delegation to come to Juba on Friday.

“Our general would go to Juba when all necessary arrangements are put in place according to the recent signed agreement,” said Dickson Gatluak, the deputy military spokesperson.

“This is an inappropriate time for the monitoring and verification mechanism( MVM) team from IO to go to Juba unless through the I GAD-plus mediators as stipulated on the agreement,” he said.
