Central Equatoria governor has announced plans for a house-to-house crackdown on gangs in the state capital, Juba.

Emmanuel Adil Anthony made the remark during a peace tour to Munuki Payam where he inspected the area quarter council and addressed the locals on Tuesday.

“Starting from today onward, I’m informing the 24-quarter councils that let us work day and night whether on motorcycles or foot to find where these ‘nigas’ are,

“If your child is a ‘niga’, tell them to stop this, and if they don’t, we will arrest and imprison them,

“This time, we will take them to Torit or Wau because if they are arrested, their parents rush to the police,’ he said.

The state governor was accompanied to the Payam by City Council Mayor Michael Alla-Jabu and some state officials.

Governor Adil also warned parents who defend their children involved in such activities of detention.

‘If you defend your child, we will take you along,” he stressed.
