Girl guides call for spirit of patriotism

The South Sudan Girl Guide Association is calling on all the people in the country to embrace the spirit of patriotism.

The Chief Commissioner of the association, Mary Elias says they are working together with Juba Municipality to clean up the town.

She stressed that keeping Juba City clean is the responsibility of every citizen and not the government alone.

Madam Elias was speaking during a cleaning campaign at the Dr. John Garang Mausoleum.

The exercise is preparation for the International Women’s day, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

“If we love our country, Juba City will not suffer from crimes, and we will help our government because the government is not about the president only, it’s not about ministers, but it is all about us who are living here in this country,” she said.

Madam Elias says the South Sudan Girl Guide Association will extend the cleaning campaign to other parts of Juba.
