Governor Alfred Futuyo Karaba of Western Equatoria said Thursday some individuals have stolen beds and equipment at Yambio State Hospital leaving the facility empty.

He did not name the alleged thieves of the public properties but said they are within the state.

“It is us the people of Yambio who have stolen all these things. Are we really thinking about the souls of the people?” Futuyo inquired at a public gathering.

“You have stolen all the mattresses from the hospital, you have stolen the solar and you break the water tank, and you have a child, whom, if sick, you will take there. Is this not a shame to us?”

The governor said he assumed the state leadership, he found that Yambio State Hospital was dirty “and all of us together with the traders donated mattresses.”

“We went and clean the hospital with our hands, we brought enough medicines, and we renovated the facility. At that time people were coming from Juba to be admitted here now something happened
