Former Inspector General of Police Acuil Tito Madut passed away on Sunday morning in Nairobi Kenya, a family member has confirmed.

General Tito was the national police boss until President Kiir replaced him with General Pieng Deng Kuol in January 2013.

He later served as deputy interior minister and as state minister for local government in Warrap State.

Madut also turned to farming and urged the country to embark on agriculture instead of fighting for political positions.
