The Minister of Roads, Transport and Bridges, Kwong Danhier, says the black box of a plane that crashed last week in Juba, has been recovered.

He said the search team has found it on Saturday, and it has been handed to the Civil Aviation Authority in the Juba International Airport.

The plane number EY406 crashed just a few minutes after takeoff last week. It was destined for Paloch oilfields in Upper Nile State.

Around 37 people died in the crash left two survivors.

Last week, the minister of transport has issued an order banning operation of Antonov 12 on the South Sudan air space.

Mr. Danhier says they have called off the search for more dead bodies.

“We have called off the search because everybody is accounted and up to now, we didn’t get anybody who is saying they are missing somebody,” Mr Danhier stated.

However, he could not specify the official figures of those killed in the incident.

Last week, Mr Danhier issued an order banning Antonov 12, the type of the plane that crashed, from flying on the South Sudanese air space.
