The Center for Strategic Studies is calling on the government to speed up the distribution of tractors to farmers.

The government announced this week that it would distribute 800 tractors to the ten states before the rainy season.

The center says the tractors should be used to boost agricultural production and diversify the economy.

“To get out from this economic situation, we have to try and develop the agricultural sector,” said John David, an official from the center.

“I’m seeing government is talking about the agricultural sector…that they brought tractors. I’m looking forward to this as a new beginning to depend on agricultural sector.”

The Center for Strategic Studies works on political and economic studies, providing analyses and researches to government institutions.
