16,000 soldiers from the Cobra faction are being reintegrated into the SPLA, the deputy chief administrator of Greater Pibor has said.

Joseph Lolimoi says the process will be completed at the end of this month.

“Our forces of Cobra faction are now gathering and assembling in some sectors and the work of integration committee which comprises of members of SPLA and Cobra faction are now conducting their work,” said Mr Lolimoi.

The reintegration is part of an agreement between the Cobra faction led by David Yau and the government last year.
