The chairperson of the Security Committee in the national assembly has given former chairpersons and their deputies an ultimatum of 48 hours to return government cars.

Samuel Duwar says the cars will be taken by force if the members fail to hand them over willingly.

“Failure to do so may lead to confiscation. That is supposed to be within 48 hours, starting from today,” our Dawn Presenter, Tethluach Peter Yong says from the parliament in Juba, referring to a statement from Hon. Duwar.

There are about 30 chairpersons and deputies in the national parliament, who are supposed to be changed after every two years.

Each is given an office car and another for service. It is not clear how many were changed and did not return government cars.
