More than 10,000 primary eight pupils have started Primary Leaving Examinations today in several counties in Central Equatorial State.

The Minister of Education in the state, Hastin Yokwe says some 200 candidates are sitting their exams at the UN camp in Jebel suburb in Juba.

Mr Yokwe says teachers have been deployed at the centers to supervise the exams.

“We have tried our best despite the little number we have now. We made sure that all the examinations will go well,” said Mr Yokwe.

“We have a recommendable number of supervisors who are deployed in the examination centers.”

The exams are expected to end on Friday.
