Singer Lifom Dedication has composed a welcoming song for Pope Francis, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Moderator-General of the Scottish Church, who are in the country.

In the keynotes of the song, the singer welcomes the visiting faith leaders and urged citizens to exercise collective efforts in restoring peace.

While premiering the song on Eye Radio on Friday morning, It received thousands of viewers and listeners who praised the song and said was meaningful.

Lifom Dedication said the coming of the Pope holds a special place in his heart, and that it is why he has felt the need to compose a song to welcome the Holy Father to Juba.

Speaking to Eye Radio’s Soundtrack Show on Friday, Lifom said his song is also about the search for peace in the country.

“I have a very special feeling about the coming of the pope. A lot of South Sudanese have been thinking and talking about peace so much, so I thought that I should write a song with an encouraging message,” he said.

“The message is to say that our suffering as south Sudanese is coming to an end. Using words of the church and encouragement so that our brother and sisters who are south Sudanese can feel about the importance and the presence of pope Francis is in South Sudan.”

Lifom dedication also says the coming of the pope will does not mean that peace will come out of nowhere.

He warned that the visit of the faith leaders will only be an indicator and encouragement in efforts towards peace.

“Some people believe that Pope Francis will bring peace to South Sudan, but I want them to know that Pope Francis coming symbolizes a shield for the people to know how importance peace is.”

“We can see how far the pope has traveled just to pray for peace in South Sudan. Truly everything will be easy once we have peace from the citizen, from the government, we should all have one goal and that is true peace not just peace that we say by words of mouth no real peace.”

LIfom Dedication, whose real name is Emmanuel Fuli, is also a footballer and a lawyer by profession.

As such, he calls himself “The Multi Talented Son.”
