The government will complete the process to end support to Sudanese armed groups by the end

of November, says the Minister Defense, Kuol Manyang Juuk.

Last week, the United States said it had credible reports of South Sudan harboring Sudanese rebels.

After the statement, Sudan gave South Sudan until the end of the year to stop supporting the armed groups, which include the SPLM-North rebels.

Speaking to Eye Radio, Kuol Manyang Juuk said ending this support is part of an agreement between the two countries on border security.

The implementation of the key areas of the agreement was to start within 21 days after a recent meeting in Khartoum between the two sides.

“We have given our selves the time until the end of November. We are already in the process, we have called the leadership of the SPLM/SPLA-North and we have told them look, we will not want you in South Sudan,” he said.

General Manyang noted that officials, who make up the few elements of the group, have appreciated the initiative in the two countries that there is peace long the border.
