For the first time, there is an ambulance in Ezo County in Western Equatoria State. The World Vision donated the ambulance to the communities in the county this week.

The county commissioner, Albert Moudie, says it will be used to deliver emergency services in remote areas.

“Since in the history of Ezo County right from the time of the British, coming to the time when it was under Arabs, today, Monday, is the first in history that Ezo has received an ambulance,” Mr Moudie told Eye Radio.

“And the entire population of Ezo is very happy now because the issue of transport has been solved.

He said he would ‘surrender my own car’ to help people during times of difficulty.

Bad roads, Mr Moudie added, will affect the movement of the ambulance in remote areas.
