The commissioner of Terkeka County in Central Equatoria State has apologized on behalf of his community for the violence that erupted in Northern Bari in Juba last weekend.
At least four people were killed in the fighting between cattle keepers and farmers on Sunday.
Jacob Gore says there was no justification for the fighting.
“We are very sorry for what happened – about what the cattle keepers have done,” Mr Gore lamented.
“We will find out the root causes of the conflict.
The clashes have led to displacement of hundreds of families.
