More than 150,000 Internally Displaced Persons have returned to their homes, according to the Mayor of Bor town, Jonglei.

Nhial Majak Nhial says the returnees are those who fled their homes following the December crisis.

Speaking to Eye Radio’s Dawn show this morning, Mr. Nhial, said people are returning to their homes on daily because security in the town has improved.

Most of them are coming from the neighboring counties, mostly Twic East and Duk.

“These are areas where people have always felt threated by the presence or activities of the rebels,” said Mr Nhial.

Mr. Nhial added that the I-D-P-s who have returned to their homes are receiving assistance from humanitarian agencies operating in Bor.
