At least one person has been killed and four others injured in an ambushed on Torit-Kapoeta Road, Namurnyang Information Minister has said.

Josephine Nakuru told Eye Radio that the incident took place in Okuma Mafi in Hiyala Payam in Torit County on Monday evening.

She said the vehicle that was ambushed belonged to security forces.

“The aim of this people were to make sure they [captured] these boys in hand or get the ammunitions and the vehicles that they were using,” Ms Nakuru explained.

She added that the injured victims are undergoing medical treatment at Kapoeta civil hospital.
