S. Sudan to hold its first ICT conference soon

The Ministry of Telecommunications and Postal Services says South Sudan will hold its first Information and Computer Technology conference in December.

The undersecretary in the ministry, Engineer Juma Stephen, says the ICT development conference will be held between the 3rd and the 5th of next month.

He says the conference will bring all partners and sponsors together, including the Non-Governmental Organizations.

‘‘ICT is important to our lives. People cannot live without the ICT because any aspect of life involves ICT. … It will facilitate of course the Communication security, businesses. You cannot work without ICT whether it is internet or Mobil Communication”, Juma Stephen said.

Engineer Juma said the objective of the conference is to enable sponsors pledge their contribution to the ICT development project in South Sudan.
