A group of youth from Lafon corridor in Lafon/Lopa County of Eastern Equatoria State has petitioned the state governor to remove the chief administrator of the area.

The chairperson of the youth group, Ukongo Valentino, says they demand a better leadership of the corridor.

“As youth, we took this initiative to write this petition against him since our councilors are dormant, leaving people in dilemma,” said Mr Valentino.

Mr. Ukongo also says the Lafon councilors are not playing an active role in the development of the area.

The Eastern Equatoria governor, Louis Lobong Lojore, says an investigation will be made into the concerns of the youths.

The administrator of the Lafon corridor could not be reached comment.
