The government of South Sudan says it is ready to work with the UN and other international bodies from around the world to develop South Sudan.

Earlier this week, the UN Mission in South Sudan announced that they were suspending their developmental activities in the country.

UNMISS spokesperson, Ariane Quentier, said the mission’s priorities are changing with the current crisis, and that the mission was facing difficulties in implementing its mandate because of restrictions.

Now, the minister for Cabinet Affairs, Dr Martin Elia Lomoro, has said that the government has no quarrels with the UN or other developmental bodies.

“On behalf of my Government, I want to state very clearly that we need the support of all UN agencies, the UN itself, the friends of South Sudan,” he said.

“So, I want you to take our message that we have no quarrel with the non-governmental organizations, we have no quarrel with UN .We need your help, we need it now and we need it always because we are young and we deserve to be helped.”
