Western Bahr El-Ghazal State government has bought 300 metric tons of maize flour and sugar to be sold to the citizens at lower prices.

This came after the residents complained of rising prices of goods in the market.
The State Minister of Trade and Cooperative, James Arnest Makuei, says the goods will be distributed to traders.
“We received a large amount of material supplies loaded in five trucks; equivalent to 300 metric tons of flour and sugar,” he said.
State Governor Rizik Zachariah called on the state Chamber of Commerce to supervise the distribution of the goods.
However, he warned the chamber against involvement in the sale of the food items.
