Warrap state is facing severe hunger, according to Governor Nyandeng Malek.

Madam Malek made the statement on her arrival in Juba yesterday to brief concerned ministries on the challenges facing the state.

She says she will meet with the President and some of the national ministers and discuss the issues.

“During my visit to the counties, the population is really is facing the hunger,” she told reporters.

It’s unclear why the state is facing hunger at this particular time.
