The South Sudan Wrestling Entertainment and the USAID are organizing a wrestling tournament aimed at encouraging peace, forgiveness and reconciliation.

The multi-tribal wrestling competition will be held in Juba from the 16 to 22 April.

The entertainment body says it has assembled the best wrestlers South Sudan can produce from different tribes from Jonglei, Eastern Lakes, Imatong, and Terekeka states.

It has also gathered the best dancers and musicians from tribes in Yei River, Twic, Northern Liech states, and Western Nile. Others are from Imatong, Jonglei, Jubek, and Gbudwe states.

The competitions will be held at Juba Stadium and are open to the public with an entry fee of 10 pounds for ordinary tickets and 50 for VIPs.

The Chief Executive of the wrestling body, Peter Biar Ajak, says wrestling games are endowed with cultural riches that demonstrate the pride of the South Sudanese people.
