At least seven people have been killed in attacks on different vehicles along the Juba-Nimule road.

Eye Radio’s Nichola Mandil saw the bodies, which were being taken to Nimule.

In a separate incident, an eyewitness said gunmen shot at an Eco Bus in the same road this morning.

The eyewitness said the group of gunmen threw a grenade on the bus and opened fire, injuring the driver’s assistant and one passenger.

He told Eye Radio that they were at an army barrack in Pageri, waiting for a force to accompany them to Juba.

The manager of Eco Bus said they had sent another bus to bring the passengers to Juba.

On Sunday, National Police Service said a group of armed men stopped a Friendship bus on the road in Jebellein and opened fire on the passengers; one person was killed and two others injured.

Similar incidents have been reported on the road over the past few weeks.
