Suspected thief dies of bullet injuries in Bor town

The suspected thief who was shot and wounded in the leg by a trader in Bor early this month died on Wednesday, according to Jonglei State Police Commissioner.

On October 4th a shop owner identified as only Kuol shot and injured 28- year-old Mathong in the leg after breaking into his shop in Malual Chaat area of Bor town.

Major General Elia Costa says the cause of the death were the bullet wounds in the leg.

Elia says that the trader is in police custody.

“He [the thief] was in the hospital undergoing treatment but he died yesterday the suspect was arrested and is in police custody.

“The cause of death was shot and wound in the leg,” he told Eye Radio.
