S Sudan to build world-class sports center

The International Olympic committee has donated about $5 million to South Sudan Olympic committee for constructing a world-class sports center in Juba.

The development was shared with the sports authorities last week.

“There will be building of an international complex that can host international game both from Africa and the rest of the world and it will cost between 3 to 5 million dollars,” Tong Chor, the secretary-general of South Sudan Olympic Committee, said during Eye Radio sports show Sunday

He added that all that is left is the land where the sports center will be built.

Meanwhile, Eng Juma Steven, the minister of land in the state cum vice president of South Sudan Olympic committee said they were in discussions with the Mangala Commissioner over land on Mangala road.
