The SPLM in Opposition may release today the three government officials who are detained in Ayod County, Jonglei state minister of Information has announced.

The officials were detained in Jiech village while returning to Bor on a UN helicopter on Tuesday.

Jodi Jonglei says SPLA in Opposition Commanders in Ayod are awaiting orders from their leader, Dr Riek Machar.

The government established contacts with the officials yesterday. They were transferred from Jiech to Ayod county headquarters.
