Taban Deng Gai, SPLM-IO Chief Negotiator in a 2014 press conference in Addis Ababa

The SPLM in Opposition has described as unplanned, an accident involving the motorcade of Taban Deng Gai, the leader of the advance team in Juba.

This comes amidst media reports that the opposition leader was attacked in the capital earlier this week.

A motorcycle collided with one of Taban’s vehicles, leaving the boda boda rider injured, according to the spokesman of the SPLM-IO advance team.

“It was just something accidental – just an ordinary car accident,” William Ezekiel told Eye Radio.
