South Sudanese among world’s least happy people

Author : | Published: Friday, March 18, 2016

South Sudan has been ranked among the least happy countries in the World Happiness Index 2016.

It has been ranked number 143 out of 157 countries.

The World Happiness Index shows six key variables that contribute to the total score, relative to a hypothetical country called “Dystopia” representing the worst scores from the 2013-2015 indexes.

Dystopia is an imaginary country with the world’s least happy people.

It would have the lowest incomes, lowest life expectancy, lowest generosity, most corruption, least freedom and least social support.

South Sudan comes just right after Angola and Niger in the happiness index and before Chad, Burkina Faso and Uganda.

Denmark has been ranked the most happy country and Burundi the least happy country in the world.
