Three South Sudanese have won four medals at the Special Olympics World Games which concluded on Sunday in Berlin, Germany.

The German Embassy in South Sudan congratulated the athletes including Sarah Juru – who earned silver medal in the athletic competition and a bronze medal in the long jump.

The athletes whose delegation was led by the head of South Sudan Olympic Committee, Honorable Rebecca Joshua Okwaci, are expected to arrive in Juba Monday.

“Simon Ruf, Chargé d’Affairs of the German Embassy in South Sudan, extended heartfelt congratulations to the South Sudanese athletes on their exceptional achievements,” the embassy statement reads.

“These are amazing results! Congratulations to all South Sudanese athletes participating in the Games, particularly to Sarah Juru, Ester Wayet, and Richard Peter who secured medals.”
