One of Juba’s top hotels has been badly damaged by fire. The fire broke out at the Sahara Resort hotel near the airport about 2 o’clock this morning, destroying more than 10 offices, the kitchen and dining hall. A number of vehicles were also destroyed in the blaze. Col .James Monday, who was speaking at the scene, told Eye Radio that the damage is extensive. It is the second fire at the Sahara Resort hotel this year. In January, a blaze destroyed the office of the Al Jazeera television network, as well as other media equipment.
