Police must identify themselves before making arrests

Police Spokesperson Colonel James Monday has called upon citizens to ask policemen to identify themselves before they make arrests.

This comes amidst complaints from members of the public that it is difficult to tell a law enforcement agent from a robber as some criminals wear police uniforms at night.

“Now let every citizen note that everyone who does not produce a police ID is not an officer,” Col Monday said.

However, Colonel Monday called upon citizens to cooperate with the police to help apprehend criminals.

He said all police offers have been issued with new IDs.
