ONAD urges warring parties to end the crisis

The Organization for Non-Violence and Development is urging the warring parties at the negotiations in Addis Ababa to engage in dialogue in order to end the conflict in South Sudan.

The non-violence and peace officer for ONAD the root cause of the conflict to injustice and absence of social equality.

Flora Francis told Eye Radio’s Dawn show that the two parties should accept their mistakes in order to find lasting solutions to the conflict.

“In order to be in the right side, there should be dialogue, and the dialogue should be on respect of basic ethics,” said Ms Francis.

“We want to defeat injustice not the people, injustice is what brings issues in the society because there is no social equality, and this is what brings problem not the people.”

Madam Flora Francis also said ONAD is organizing a training workshop for more than 32 teachers on peace building and conflict resolution.

The aim of the workshop is to build peace and reconciliation amongst students through the peace clubs in the schools and universities.
