Veteran journalist and senior member of the new sawa-sawa party, Nhial Bol has joined the SPLM in Opposition.

Mr Nhial left journalism last year for politics and helped in founding sawa-sawa.

But this morning, he told Eye Radio that he has become an official member of the SPLM in Opposition, saying he shares the same principles with the group.

“I need to help this country with ideas. I will be part of the South Sudanese who are going to implement the peace agreement and I will be honest to the public that this country belongs to us and we need to build it,” Mr Nhial said.

He added that he is no longer a member of the sawa-sawa party.
