The National Examination Council has moved the date for 2021 Certificate of Secondary School Examinations from April 18 to April 20.

Earlier this month the council scheduled the examination to kick off on April 18 and run through April 27.

The council now says the papers that were planned for April 18 and 19 are moved to April 28 and 29 respectively.

The examination is to kick off on Wednesday April 20, with Commerce and Chemistry in the morning, while English Literature, Cost and Taxation, Technology, Auto Mechanic, Electricity, Building and Carpentry in the afternoon.

The secretary of the Examination Council, Simon Nyok told reporters on Tuesday that the changes in the examination timetable are due to circumstances beyond their control.

“The council wishes to inform candidates and the general public that the 2021 Certificate of Secondary Schools Examinations timetable has been slightly amended by moving the first day of the examination to the last date of the time table,” said Nyok.

Nyok added that the rest of the examination papers will be administered as they were originally scheduled.
