Land owners in two payams in Kajo-Keji County, Central Equatoria State, have agreed to demarcate their borders within two weeks.

Chiefs from Liwolo and Kangapo II payams have been claiming ownership of Morsak village located between the two areas.

At a two-day meeting in Kajo-Keji town, they agreed that Morsak belongs to Liwolo. Morsak will now be curved into Liwolo, but people from the two payams will still stay together.

Wollyan Patrick is the chairman of the County Legislative Council and a participant of the meeting.

“The agreement was that we work together and they will work together in making development in the area,” Mr Parick added.

“And people who have settled in that land, whether they are in Liwolo or wherever in kajo-Keji will stay there peacefully without disturbance.”

The meeting ended last evening. Both sides have expressed happiness with the resolution.
