The civil society group, Community Empowerment for Progress Organization has called on IGAD to sensitize people about the approach of IGAD plus before the next round of talks in Addis Ababa.

The negotiations are expected to resume at the end of Ramadan.

The mediation will involve five African countries, the African Union and the UN in a new format known as the IGAD Plus.

In a statement, the executive director of CEPO, Edmond Yakani, says IGAD should explain how the new mediation will differ from the previous one.
