University of Juba Administration says it will graduate about 5,000 students next month.

In an exclusive interview with Eye Radio, the Director of External Relations at the University, Dr. Leben Nelson Moro, says two committees have been formed to plan for the ceremony.

He says the batches of 2013 and 2014 will graduate on 21st February.

“The University, after its return to its original home, is now planning to hold this first graduation, a historic graduation and the plan is that we are going to do this on the 21st of February.” He said.

“I think for the University it is very crucial that we do an official formal graduation, not other small, small graduations that have been happening. This is going to be done by the university and the students are going to be given certificates with all the security features. That is the plan.” He added.

Dr. Moro says authentic certificates shall be given out for the first time during this graduation ceremony.

University of Juba was relocated from Khartoum to Juba following the independence of South Sudan in July 2011.
