The national police service has written to Ugandan authorities to extradite a Lebanese national accused of fraud.

The accused is under detention in Uganda and is wanted for trial in South Sudan over a shoddy deal of more than 5 million pounds.

The man, known as Osman Hysem, is accused by the police of allegedly acquiring five vehicles from an unnamed company and failing to pay for them.

In a letter signed by the Head of the National Central Bureau, Lt. Colonel Amou Agieth Reec, a case file has been opened in Northern Police Division in Juba.

The letter has been addressed to Chief of the International Police, Interpol, in Kampala.

“We’re kindly requesting your honor to inform Gulu Police station where the suspect is currently detained to send [him] back to Nimule and be brought back to Juba for trial,” partly read the statement.

It states that the vehicles include two hard tops and three double cabin land cruiser pickup trucks.

The letter states that Mr. Osman paid for the vehicles by cheque, but when it was taken for transaction, there was insufficient amount of money in the account.
