Heavy rains have destroyed the Yokali Bridge in Kapoeta County in Eastern Equatoria State.

The bridge connects South Sudan with Kenya via Narus high way.

The Commissioner of Kapoeta East, Titus Lokwachuma, told Eye Radio that it is now difficult for people to travel via this route.

He urged the national Ministry of Transport to help reconstruct the bridge.

“So because it was a heavy flood, it washed one of the bridges and we have now diverted people, the cars are crossing from down side and I called the national ministry of roads and bridges to at least come and attend to the issue of that bridge.” said Lokwacuma.
