Eye Radio’s journalist, and Soundtrack Show presenter, Kafuki Jada has been nominated as a contestant in the yearly East Africa Youth Award.

The yearly award often seeks to recognize the most outstanding and exceptionally talented youths of both genders of the EAC region.

First initiated in 2013, the initiative is advocating the implementation of East Africa’s Youth Policy with the aim of promoting their full participation in regional economic, social, and political integration.

Kafuki Jada, a South Sudanese born has been nominated for the award alongside four female radio and media personalities in the region.

Reacting to the nomination, Ms. Kafuki Jada said she was taken by surprise, but she was extremely happy about the news.

“I did not expect to be nominated and then I just opened my phone and scrolled through social media then I found that I am nominated for East Africa Youth Award, and I am representing South Sudan,” said Kafuki.

“I was surprised, extremely happy and excited, above all so excited and so happy I was like this is good news.”
