A veteran politician and former chairman of the Finance Committee in the national assembly, Professor Bari Wanji, has died.

Relatives say he died on Monday evening after a short illness.

The late Bari was also a former chairman of the Public Accounts Committee in the regional parliament before independence.

“We are now working as parliament and the family together to write his resume, his role and so on,” said Oliver Mori chairman of Information Committee in the National Parliament

The late Bari Wanji was also a veteran participant of the two wars of liberation since the Anyanya days.
