Renk County authorities are holding three people in connection with killing of Sudanese traders in the area.

According to Renk County commissioner Guot Akuei, the suspects are believed to be members of a seven-man group which killed 11 Sudanese traders in the county last week.

“They were seven. Now we captured three. They will tell us where the other four are,” Mr. Akuei told Eye Radio.

The three men will be arraigned in court soon.

The traders were killed at Khorachier, about 30 kilometers north-east of Renk town, Upper Nile.

They were killed as they were crossing over with their merchandise to South Sudan.
